Windscreen Replacement
A windscreen replacement will take approximately 60 - 90 minutes to complete and the vehicle must remain stationary for a further 60 minutes to allow the new windscreen adhesive to cure.

Before our professional technicians begin the windscreen extraction process, we will first ensure that your vehicle's interior and exterior is well protected. Using perfected techniques and the very latest cutting edge technology our experts will carefully remove the seals and your damaged windscreen.
The seals are replaced with specialist windscreen adhesive, and our technicians apply the same amount of due care installing your new windscreen as we do extracting the damaged windscreen. Our technicians go to great lengths to ensure that your new windscreen fits millimetre perfect.
Whenever possible, Glass Act Windscreens Ltd will try to repair your windscreen rather than replace it. However, there are occasions when windscreen replacement is the only solution. This is often due to the size of the crack or chip, or due to its location on the windscreen.
Same day service - With access to thousands of pieces of glass we can usually replace a client's windscreen on the same day. On rare occasions, however, we may need to order a new piece of glass overnight. We endeavour to get our client's back behind the wheel of their vehicle's as quickly as possible.

Windscreen Repair
A windscreen repair takes approximately 30 minutes to complete and the vehicle can be driven away immediately once we have completed the repair.
With the 'all weather awning' attached to our vans you can have complete confidence that our technicians can carry out a windscreen repair or replacement in all weather conditions and at any location.
Before our professional technicians begin the windscreen repair process, we will first consider a number of aspects to determine whether your windscreen needs to be repaired or replaced. We will assess the windscreen to ensure that:
- The chip cannot be any bigger than a 50 pence piece
- The chip must be situated more than 6cm away from the edges of the windscreen
- If the chip lies in the drivers line of vision, it cannot be any wider than 10mm (The drivers line of vision is approximately 30cm, which is centred on the middle of the steering wheel)
Once the windscreen repair has been completed, the vehicle can be driven away immediately.
